Why Namecheap DNS Sucks and How to fix it for Bloggers

Wanna know why your cool Namecheap sucks? In this case I am referring to their DNS service, they messed me up, alongside Syskay (an old-school type of domain registrar), their features and security layers turned out to be nothing to write home about, they gave me terrible experience.
I'll also tell you how How to fix it incase you run into any of their DNS errors/problems (for Bloggers who use them anyway).

EdiTweaks was down for 2 weeks, Here's Exactly What Happened - Firstly, accept my apologies before I continue, I must confess to you that domain structures could be one of the most complicated things I had discovered recently, truly. But as each new problems come, I am learning to tackle them.
This blog was down for over 2 weeks (14 days, 336 hours), all that time used by you and other awesome visitors to come here and read our posts, this site was showing:

ERROR: site took too long to respond - ON FIREFOX

and on CHROME:

This site can’t be reached

editweaks.com’s server DNS address could not be found.

I tried everything possible to recover the website which proved null till I discovered it was a DNS Attack. 1st attack ever in my entire life, but what caused it?

See, NameCheap got no chill. I ain't registered with them, I only was using their FreeDNS service via Nameservers from my domain registrar (Syskay - they are terrible now), after a long while I didn't get alert Emails that Namecheap's FreeDNS service had been cancelled and had now turned Premium.
Without my knowledge, they went ahead, did their thing, made the FreeDNS open & vulnerable, then Lo and Behold, I got attacked, malwares & bugs all over the place, the domain started to redirect to malware and adware sites.

Even Syskay, my domain registrar left me helpless, those guys at Syskay are terrible, this is 2016 yet they don't offer a working DNS Service, if you use Syskay, I advice you pack up and Transfer your domain to a more serious Domain Registrar (with more features) as soon as possible or else they will leave you stranded like they did to me after several conversations. I may have once promoted their service few years ago, but I will disclose an excerpt of this recent experience as an update in that post.

Both Syskay and Namecheap couldn't do anything, I was left all alone. After hours of research, by this time the domain was completely offline (zero traffic), I was trying to understand the situation about how to resolve this kind of strange issues with my domain's and Google's DNS, some which included Public DNS Flush and checking for DNS Propagation.

At last, I transferred the domain to a better place while waiting for transfer propagation, I still went ahead to complain at a Google Forum, my domain wasn't their responsibility but I got quick and helpful responses from there.

It took a while for the whole servers located at different countries to sync in the propagation, and I'd say if EDITWEAKS' IP was initially located at United States, then perhaps like the screenshot below,

it must have traveled across various countries till it finally rested at its new IP in Germany, it's new home.

Adding Friends to Groups without their Consent, the Worst Facebook feature Ever!

Having been on the Social Network for over 4 years, I mean I love Facebook but this is probably the first time I am venting about one of their Features, an ugly one for that matter.

Facebook Groups is one of the nicest thing to happen on the Facebook Social Network, we know how it had helped many more people to be Connected in a very targeted way.
There are Groups for our various Alumni Schools, Work places, Religious centers, Interests and Hobbies... to mention but few but it's quite annoying how it's been used or abused by some people on Facebook nowadays, and they are selfishly happy they doing it because Facebook allowed them to.

Friends add their friends to Groups without their Consent, and as far as I know, the guys who engage in this act have even simplified it that they now use scripts to add people very much faster, hence you will always get notified that your friend Posted on a Group you are member of but that's not the Point, the point is most of these Groups are Not really Sharing any useful content or values to the members, the Aim is the Groups are built basically for Spamming.

If you are in the same situation as me where so many friends have added you to too many groups, right now here's the Fastest Way to leave those unwanted Facebook Groups:

1.Visit : https://www.facebook.com/groups/?category=membership

2.Move down to "Groups You're In" 

3. On the Right side, beside the "Add to favorites," you see the settings Gear
4. Click the settings Gear,
5. There Click Leave Group.

In my opinion, I still believe Adding Friends to Groups without their Consent doesn't make any sense, it's actually the Worst Facebook feature I ever seen and The Facebook Team should do something about changing or terminating it as quickly as possible.

Slow Laptop? Fix It in 7 Easy Steps

1. Update Antivirus Software and Run a Scan

 

The first consideration with a slow laptop is antivirus or spyware infection. This is particularly a problem with notebooks for students because young people often forget to update this software and run scans. Choose a trusted antivirus program, install it and run a scan. Don't have any other programs running during the scan.

2. Run a Disk Cleanup and Defragment

As with running an antivirus scan, you won't want to have any other programs running when you use these tools. Choose a time when you can be around to click "ok" occasionally. You can find both of these tools by clicking Start, then Performance Information and then Tools. This is different for different versions of Windows, however. A clean, defragmented system runs faster.

3. Remove Unused Programs

Open Add and Remove Programs and take a look at what's out there. Chances are, there are tons of software packages you've downloaded and installed that you never use. Remove them using the prompts provided in the Remove Programs box. This frees up disk space and speeds up the computer.

4. Clean Out Old Files

Close all running programs and open the My Documents or Documents folder on your desktop. Are there lots of files and documents here you don't need anymore? Delete them. These files are taking up storage space, and full hard drives always run slower.

5. Take Programs Out of the Startup Menu

Across the bottom of your Windows screen, there are rows of icons that you can click and instantly start a program. Many programs put themselves here automatically when installed if you don't know how to prevent it. Go to System Configuration in Windows and take unnecessary startup programs out. You'll still be able to access these through Start, All Programs.

6. Check for Possible Disc Errors

 

Occasionally, an error in the disk is the cause of a slow system. Go to My Computer, then right-click Hard Drive and click on properties. Open the Tools tab and go to the Error Checking section. Choose Check Now or Schedule Disk Check and click OK. If you choose Check Now, it will run the scan immediately. Schedule Disk Check allows you to tell it when a convenient time to scan is, so you won't forget later.

7. Restart Computer

 

After performing each of the steps above, reboot your computer. Some of the steps, such as running an antivirus scan or Disk Cleanup and Defragmentation will prompt you to do so. Rebooting allows the computer to reset itself and initiate any changes you've made.
It's a good idea to use your Task Scheduler or other reminder to run antivirus scans, Disk Cleanups, Disk Defragmentation and other computer maintenance regularly.
