How To Root Infinix X507 Kitkat Android Smartphone

For those who may have been following my updates, just 2 weeks ago, the New Infinix Hot X507 was released into the market and became popular because of its amazing features yet a very Affordable price tag. You may see the Hands-on review with specs and price Here.
Now, I'll be showing us how we can Root the Infinix Hot 507. Goodnews is this method would also work on any MTK Android device that runs KitKat, JellyBean, ICS & Lower versions.

RECOMMENDED : EASY GUIDE TO REPAIR CHANGE/IMEI OF MTK ANDROID DEVICES.

NOTE:
Like we'll always tell you, there are terms you  must agree before you Root your device.

• Rooting your device Voids/cancels the Warranty of 12 months that comes with it.

• If you Brick your phone while rooting, we won't be Held responsible. Although Bricking is never a thing to worry about if all the Steps are Carefully followed.

Rooting the New Infinix Hot X507 was a bit challenging at first, I tried to root it without PC with Rooting Apps like TowelRoot, FramaRoot, KingRoot, it proved Stubborn.
Infinix Hot 507 uses MTK chipset, Android 4.4.2 KitKat having a LOCKED Bootloader, that made it quite difficult but when I plugged it to my PC using the Steps below. I rooted it Successfully.

It's quite easy, just Follow the Steps below.

Best Method: How To Root Infinix X507 (with PC).

REQUIREMENTS: 
- Your Infinix Hot 507 (or Any other MTK/Android device running KitKat 4.4.2) 
- Your Computer
- USB Cable
- Internet Connection

1. Download PDANet HERE -- DON'T Install yet. We'll do that later.

2. Download and Install VRoot / iRoot app on your PC (version 1.7.9.2) - Download here Or my google site here.
Installing it may Show Up in Chinese Lang, use Internet to update version to English.

3.  On your phone make sure you enable USB Debug mode, to do this; goto Settings >> ALL >> Scroll down to DEVELOPER OPTIONS >> Switch it ON, >> scroll down again to USB debugging and Tick It.

4. Install the PDAnet you earlier downloaded, it will prompt you to Plug the phone, now Plug it to the PC,(make sure Internet is ON for your PC). Your computer will update and Install the complete Drivers for your Infinix Hot. When drivers finish installing, Close the PdaNet app on your PC.

5. Launch the iRoot App on your computer, Click Connect Device.

Give it some minutes to detect your Infinix HOT X507 smartphone.

Once it detects it, It will Load drivers again, (make sure your Internet is still ON).

Minutes later, you'll see "INFINIX X507 is Connected."
Now click ROOT.

Sit back, Relax, and watch the Process.

After sometime, Your phone will Reboot. After the reboot, your iRoot will now tell you - Infinix X507 root successed!

Congratulations, You have successfully Rooted your Infinix Hot (507).

Before you unplug your USB, On your phone, go to USB menu & click on CHARGE ONLY then unplug your device....Wait,...
It hasn't ended there, to complete the Steps, After you successfully Root your Infinix hot, iRoot will already Install SuperUser and some strange Chinese (or do I say chinko) apps which you will SEE on your menu. Find the Superuser app on your Infinix Phone.


NOTE II : There are Two Apps like that people complain are showing in Chinese language after rooting Infinix Hot. One of the App has a Horse logo on it, leave it, but uninstall the other chinese app.
Now, Open the App with Horse logo (that's the SuperUser App), Open the App and Update it with internet, it will automatically turn back to English. Hope that solves it.

Install ROOT CHECKER or any App that requires root access to confirm your device has been Rooted, You will need to set the SUPERUSER to Allow or Grant apps Root permissions.

Unleashing what's in the box, you'll be quite amazed, I found the Smartphone, and a couple of useful accessories, i.e

- USB CABLE (a Multi-purpose type For charging and Data transfer)

The FEEL & DISPLAY

Immediately I picked up this Smartphone from its box, the feel was cool, light at hand, then I proceeded to insert the battery and switched it ON, (the Power Button is the second below which you can find at the "right-side" of the phone)
Behold the Fantastic Display, you expect anything less when the Screen is already Amoled-powered? The result is Crisp and colorful, it was a sweet feel as I touched the screen while scrolling the Menu.

Okay, as I had earlier said, this smartphone uses 1GB RAM and Quad-core processor of 1.3GHz, making quality Speed a certain feature of the Infinix Hot, it took few seconds for the phone to boot up, not some other devices that you'll have wait forever, the performance is very fast and responsive, be it powerful HD & 3D games or Apps, you can do more and Multi-task without fear of any hanging or looping.

The OPERATING SYSTEM AND PRE-INSTALLED APPS:

The Infinix Hot comes with Android 4.4 (Kitkat), and I was very satisfied with the Launcher unlike my Previous smartphones where i had to use GO-Launcher for navigating.

- and Assassins Creed 3 amongst others.

LIKES AND DISLIKES

Battery Life is the major thing I always look out for in many Android Smartphones, I end up disliking most of them because of their batteries but the battery Life of this New Infinix Hot is not doing bad for me at the moment, I'll keep watching it closely as time goes on.

4. Make sure you Change the blog's FeedBurner address Colors in RED to your own blog's feedburner address.

If you don't have a FeedBurner address for your blog, go to Feedburner.com and create one.
When satisfied with your changes, there's no need to take Comments on your SITE MAP Page, so hover your mouse to the right where you find POST SETTINGS
Click Options >> READER COMMENTS > Choose "Don't Allow, Show existing"  Done.

Click PUBLISH.

Do You Know? You Can Get A Paper Check (cheque) From PayPal

Been a while we shared something about Online cash, there're many of them I will be posting soon, PayPal, Adsense, etc, and how you can legitimately earn and handle your money and transactions with them, meanwhile today we'll be talking about one of the World's biggest e-commerce business, Paypal.
There is a simple question only a few think about, not to even speak of searching around for answers.

"Can I Get a Paper Check From Paypal?"

The Answer is: "Yes, You can Receive your Funds as Check from PayPal."
There are various reasons why people request their funds to be sent to them via Check from PayPal.
The major ones are perhaps, they have issues with PayPal or the Bank account they Linked to their Paypal, hence want it deposited to another bank where they run an account, so a paper check is the best way to do it.

Whatever your reasons are, you can ask PayPal to push all your funds as Check and send it to your doorstep.

I'll show us how,

PayPal allows users to withdraw money from their account in three ways:

1. TRANSFER TO A BANK ACCOUNT
2. LOAD YOUR FUNDS IN YOUR PAYPAL DEBIT CARD or, 
3. RECEIVE A PAPER CHECK.

You'll need a verified account to choose the paper check option, which also requires a confirmed address. It takes one to two weeks to receive the check for U.S. addresses and six weeks for foreign addresses, making a paper check the least-convenient method to withdraw funds right?. Note that PayPal charges $1.50 for the check, while the other two methods are free.

How to Request a Paper Check from PayPal

Step 1

Log into your PayPal account.

Step 2

Click on the "My Account" tab.

Step 3

Click on "Withdraw." >> Choose "Request a check."

Step 4

Fill in the amount you wish to withdraw. Use a decimal place between the dollars and cents.

Step 5

Use the pull-down menu to choose where you want PayPal to mail the check. You can add a new address if necessary by following the links. Click "Continue."

Step 6

Verify the amount.
 In case you ant to still change the Amount you want them to send you, click "Cancel," then go back to Step 4.

A $1.50 check fee will be subtracted from the proceeds. Click "Submit."

Step 7

Go to you mail box for a confirmation email. If you do not receive this, log back into PayPal and check the "My Account" section to be certain your check request has been processed.

WARNING:

• PayPal will issue the check in the name of the account holder, so you will not be able to send a PayPal check to someone else.
• Sending a check to someone else's address requires you to provide the recipient's credit card number to add the mailing address to your PayPal account.

It is always Adviced, even by other companies and Payment processors to use Bank Wire Transfer or The PayPal debit card (ATM or foreign currency transaction fees may apply.) which can be used to withdraw your funds anywhere in the world as it is faster, safer, and free.

A SMALL WIKI ON SOCIAL MEDIA WEEK.
Social Media Week had been around, Over the past six years working with everybody — our community — to capture, curate, and share the most meaningful ideas, trends, and best practices with regard to technology and social media’s impact on business, society and culture.
They hold the events globally once a year, in some countries more than once... centers include the U.S, Hong-Kong, Johannesburg, and many others, fortunately for us...in Lagos too, where it launched their very first event, SMW Lagos in 2013.

#THROWBACK - SOCIAL MEDIA WEEK 2014 #SMW14

It took place 17th - 21st February 2014,
There were lots of interesting SMW Lagos events held at different locations through out that week.

The event I attended was Titled: WORDPRESS NIGERIA: SEO + SECURITY + PAYMENT -Best Practices For Website & Blog Management.
VENUE location was at Four Points by Sheraton hotels, Eti-Osa, Lagos 

I was opportuned to meet  few of the great Personalities who ruled the blogosphere in my country, I met the likes of +Don Caprio , a great blogger in tech blogging and  +OloriSupergal  another Amazing blogger rocking the Entertainment niche.

We engaged, discussed and shared posts about the event on Facebook,Twitter, Google+ and Instagram with the Hashtag #SMWWordpressNG.
+Don Caprio was one of the amazing Speakers that day.

Add & Display Author (Your) Name On Facebook Shared-Post Snippets

There had been a few popular stuffs I had written here about the Social Media Giant, Facebook, posts like

• How To Use/Display only ONE Name on your Facebook Profile

•  How to Take Total Control of What Appears on Your Facebook Wall

There're More on Social Media which you can read here, but I recently started noticing something on Facebook, when people share posts from websites and blogs, this New Feature displays the author (Website Owner's) Name below the snippet of the shared post on Facebook.

For Those who may not Know what Snippets are:

SNIPPETS are a small piece or small bit, scrap, or fragment having summary or description of a website or post that was shared on Facebook or Results after you search for keywords on Search Engines like Google.

The Advantage with this snippet feature, it will help Readers know who owns and Authors your various blogs, so they can easily find and keep in touch with you more closely.
To assure you of how valuable this feature could be, I checked around and found few popular bloggers that have already taken advantage of the tool.

This is what it actually looks like.

That's a snippet from +Jide Ogunsanya , a smart blogger who's using the tool. Once he shares or his visitors shares his stuff on facebook, it displays his name underneath the post, as the owner of the blog from which the post/link was shared.
As you can see, the snippet is showing his name and web address,
So we can easily know who owns which website/blog.

Now, Let's Learn How to Add & Display Author Name On Facebook Share Snippets

There's No sweat in adding this feature to your own blog, it's just a line of META-TAGS, that's all
1. Login to your Blogger/Wordpress dashboard.
2. Go to Template >> Edit HTML
Click inside where you have all your template codes, then search or Press CTRL  + F
search for this code
 <data:blog.title/></title>
Right under the code above , you'll find this  </b:if>

Now,  under that little code, copy and Paste this
<meta content='YOUR NAME' name='Author'/>

3. Replace YOUR NAME with your own name.

4. Click Save, then give it time for it to take effect.
Effect will not be instant because this tool is not like other codes which you used for designing your blogs, this is actually a META-TAG, it would take about 15 - 30 minutes for Google to crawl your template and Save that change.
This meta tag doesn't only apply on helping you display Author name on Facebook shared posts snippets, it also helps your site look more detailed and descriptive on Search engines and especially Social Media. There're more meta-tags out there but this particular one is found relevant.
