All about Prov files & How to Create Prov Files Offline on Nokia using s40provg8

Your mobile network may sometimes be unable to provide you with settings for your phones via SMS, even if they do, their settings only contain Access Points and Username through which you can can browse with the network.

 If you use a Nokia s40 phone, doing a personal configuration, and adding Proxy Address/I.P address may not also do the trick especially if you would need that configuration Setting to power the applications that connect to the internet, like Opera mini, UC browser and all others, so the way out of getting your Nokia configuration settings is to Provide yourself with one by making a prov file.

You may ask, What is a Prov file?

Here's a quick description of what a prov file is.

Prov. files in this post is an Access Point containing Proxy Address/I.P in its configuration setting, it was specifically built for Nokia s40 phones, the file extension always end with .prov.

How Does Prov Files Work?

To keep it very brief, all you need do after creating a provisioning file (.prov), is to send them to your Nokia via bluetooth, you receive Configuration settings as if it came from your network, save, and activate it.

There are so many sites that now provide you with this technology, such sites are called Prov site creators, so you can go ahead and create one yourself:

When you Launch the App, it prompts you with queries to fill in for the prov file (configuration Settings) to be made. All you do is fill them:

Example: Name: any name of your choice as this will be name of prov you are making

As soon as you are done, it will ask Allow application s40provg8 to read user data? Press Yes

Your prov is successfully created and Saved into the root folder of  your E:// drive (only  when Memory card is inserted,else it goes to your C:// drive which is the  phone's memory directory)

3. Go to your Blogger Dashboard

Click Settings >> OTHER >> on the Blog you want to track


4. Scroll Down to where you find Google Analytics Web Property ID, see it? Now Paste your property ID there and hit Save settings.

Now you're all set.

It should take a minimum of 24 hours to see changes in your Google Analytics dashboard as long as you are getting traffic, it will all be displayed for you to Track right there.

Filter & Delete Mail Floods with One Click

Lately, I subscribed to Facebook E-mail Updates forgetting I would be receiving excess E-mail updates about my Facebook accounts, these mail was getting unbearable as it came in daily, consuming high bandwidth of space given to me for all my data use and storage.

Same issues are experienced when we subscribe to get from other sites, sometimes this can be so annoying especially when your Inbox is flooded with unwanted mails that gets mixed up with the innocent ones, thus, making your Inbox look disorganised.

The problem now, is to Delete all these Unwanted flood mails without hurting the innocent little mails that got entangled with unwanted mails in my Inbox.

I actually used Hotmail.

Marking them one by one to delete later, was going to be too difficult, because I would spend the whole day marking thousands of mail sent by a sender.

Sweep, and Move tools wasn't a good option either, I needed some mails to remain in the Box without Deleting.

After few experiments, I came up with an idea that would us delete Unwanted flood mails with one click.

Let's Do it!

• Sign In to your Mail box

• In the Search box field, type in the part of the Name of the sender (minimum of 2 to 3 words e.g facebookmail.com) & hit Search.

• This will filter out all the Mails sent to you by the contact.

• Now go to your mail-box tool bar, and click All, to mark all the mail results hover your mouse to the DELETE link and click it. see? The mails are deleted all at Once.

This same tip is applicable to other mail service providers like Gmail, Yahoo Mail and many others we use everyday, it's your mail box, you should have control over it. Hope this helped you to keep it tidy.

How to Set Up a Custom Domain for your Blog with Domain Registrars like Syskay.com

So you have successfully created your blog, the layout is okay, you have put some contents in it, and one way or the other you are getting traffic so all that's left for you now, is to make blog address a Custom Domain, hence change it to www.mywebsite.blogspot.com to www.mywebsite.com, but somehow you don't how to go about it.

Earlier this year, around March, when I won my Custom Domain,  though the bills had been payed for, after  registering, I still had to set up the Custom domain for the blog website so it could be up and running as soon as possible, I had to go through few simple steps.

I chose to use Syskay systems because

• Easy to pay (especially if you reside in my country, Nigeria)
• they are reliable with High performance, which is the chief essence of using a good web host. I hardly ever get error issues with them.

This site went down and Syskay was unable to help out as they boldly told us we are on our own when it comes to DNS issues, this is poor in 2016 to realise they don't even have such a very IMPORTANT FEATURE known as DNS Service for domains. 
I suggest you use GoDaddy or 1and1 when buy custom domain. Unlike Syskay, they have more features and will help out if you have problems. 
You're at your own discretion if you go ahead to choose Syskay as your domain registrar after reading this.

Here's a Step by Step guide on

How to Set Up (Register) a Custom Domain for your Blog with Syskay.com

1. First, you will need to have a domain name to use, this is going to be your identity, for example www.mywebsite.com,  you might wanna check out a quick guide about how to choose the right domain name for your blog or website here.
2. Go to syskay.com

3. Scroll down to the footer (bottom) of the webpage where you find DOMAIN REGISTRATION (No Hosting) or simply click HERE

This takes us to the page where you will put the domain name you have chose in Step 1.
Input the domain name and search, if the results say the Domain is Available then you can go on and buy it. by clicking ORDER NOW

4. the next page is  the Shopping Cart, with Domains Configuration & NameServers.

Kindly don't touch or change those nameservers, leave them as they are, and click Continue

5. Next page has a lots of options but no need to get confused or worry about filling them. Simply hover your mouse to Proceed to Complete Order.

 5. Now you are taken to the registration page, on Completing your sign up, your Batch number and other corresponding details will be sent to your E-mail.

6. Use this Batch Number and the custom domain name you gave them to make Payments. After this, wait for sometime for your Custom Domain to be activated.

How To Know When your Custom Domain is ready

7. Simply visit the Address of your custom domain. It may tell you Server not Found but keep trying till you get a Google 404 Page Error.
Once you see that, it means your domain is ready. Now you can proceed to the last part.

8. Login to your Blogger Dashboard

9. Click Settings >> Publishing >> Switch To Custom Domain

10. Go to the the Advanced settings page, put the domain name there, tick the Redirection box and Save

    Congratulations, your blog is ready!
